MHFA Course Information

Half-day Mental Health First Aid Refresher

£150 per person

Following the latest MHFA England guidelines, it is recommended that you complete a Refresher course within 3½ years of your original 2-day course. This ensures you stay up to date with the latest research, support services, and best practices for maintaining your own wellbeing while acting as an MHFAider®. If your certification lapses, you will need to complete the full 2-day course.

 

The MHFA Refresher course takes four hours and enables learners to:

  • Keep their knowledge, awareness, and skills in mental health support current.
  • Update their understanding of mental health, its influences, and available support services.
  • Practice and reinforce applying the Mental Health First Aid action plan.
  • Renew their MHFAider® skills and access three years of MHFAider® support and benefits.

RSPH Level 3 Award in Mental Health First Aid

MHFA England® has partnered with the Royal Society for Public Health (RSPH) to create a market-leading, Ofqual-regulated MHFAider® qualification. The RSPH Level 3 Award in Mental Health First Aid allows you to demonstrate your commitment to the role and assess your knowledge as an MHFAider® through an eAssessment.

If you’ve completed the 2-day or Refresher course, you can visit the MHFA England website to access the MHFAider® community and register for the eAssessment.
