We are currently looking for two volunteer roles:

• Board member – Treasurer

• Board member – General

• setting strategic direction

• ensuring clarity of vision and ethos

• evaluating performance against targets

• overseeing the financial performance making sure its money is well spent

• overseeing, approving and presenting budgets, accounts and financial statements (Treasurer)

• ensuring that appropriate accounting procedures and controls are in place (Treasurer).

What’s involved?

Our Board and/or sub committees meet roughly every two months, typically outside of the normal working day. We would expect the time commitment for each meeting (including preparation time) to be around 5 to 10 hours with up to three days per year on training and strategy.

What experience do I need?

For the Treasurer Board member role we are seeking applications from ACA/ACCA qualified accountants. For the other Board member position, we are seeking applications from individuals with a legal background to compliment our current board skill set. Preference will be given to people who have lived experience of mental health issues. You do not need previous Board experience as we will offer you a full induction and ongoing learning and development opportunities.

We are committed to reflecting the community we serve, and embrace different perspectives that each individual and their experiences can bring. We have an inclusive working environment where everyone is appreciated regardless of race, gender, age, religion, identity and experience. If you need us to make any adjustments to enable your application, please let us know.
