SPONSORS: We are incredibly thankful to Gower for their sponsorship of this year’s walk.

DISCLAIMER: All entrants take part at their own risk, Guernsey Mind and all third parties accept no responsibility for personal accidents. Anyone under the age of 15 must be accompanied by an adult.

Thank you again for supporting this event. The Sunrise Walk of Hope has become an important event in our calendar to raise awareness around suicide, contributing to Guernsey Mind’s ongoing work regarding suicide prevention and support. Together, we can all make a difference.

If you have any queries, please email [email protected]. This email address is monitored until 4.30pm on Friday.

Darkness into Day

This year, the Sunrise Walk is also supported by the power of music. Local songwriter Tim Osborne has penned ‘Darkness into Day,’ a poignant power ballad capturing the struggle of seeking help and support when it is needed the most. The song, beautifully performed by ROMA, a young singer from Guernsey (real name Georgia Pollock), is a fitting anthem for the walk. “The lyrics reflect the journey from the depths of mental health struggles and the support that is needed to help along the journey,” Tim explains.

Mikey Ferbrache of Apocalypse recording studios, who produced the song and plays guitar on the track, echoes the sentiment. “I’m thrilled to be part of this project. The message of hope and the vital work of Guernsey Mind is something we should all support.”

Ross Yeates from Clicksmith (and SkyWave) has filmed a superb video to accompany the song.

You can download the track from most music stores
