Reece Battle is taking on a round‑the‑Island swim to raise funds for Guernsey Mind.
Reece is training hard for an incredible challenge — a 40–45km open‑water swim all the way around Guernsey, raising money to support our work at Guernsey Mind.
The swim is planned for August or September, depending on sea and weather conditions.
We’ll be sharing updates as Reece gets closer to the big day.

From Reece…
“My name is Reece Battle, and I’m attempting to swim around the island of Guernsey in support of Guernsey Mind.
The challenge is around 40–45 kilometres of open‑water swimming and has taken months of training, preparation and commitment.
Swimming has been a big part of my life since I was young. Over the past year I’ve returned to it with a new purpose, training consistently in both the pool and the sea as I build towards the biggest physical and mental challenge I’ve ever taken on.
I chose to support Guernsey Mind because mental health affects so many people across our island. Every day, people face struggles that often go unseen. The work Guernsey Mind does provides vital support, guidance and hope when it’s needed most.
For me, this swim is about more than just distance. It’s about resilience, perseverance and showing what’s possible when you keep moving forward, even when things get tough.
Every donation, no matter the size, will help support the incredible work Guernsey Mind does and will mean a huge amount to both me and the charity.
Thank you for your support.”
