The Community of Practice is for anyone in the Bailiwick who has completed the 2-day MHFAEngland® course. It provides a safe space for MHFAiders® to come together to discuss key topics, latest resources, best practice and share learning whilst offering peer support to each other. Building a network of peers ensures the people we support are receiving high-quality, impactful information wherever they engage with MHFAiders®.
Why join in?
When you join, you become part of a community that supports both your personal and professional growth. Whether you’re seeking specific knowledge, a group to brainstorm with, or just a space to develop, this community offers these opportunities.
Regular Meetings
Meetings, both online and in person, provide a space to connect with other MHFAiders®. They offer discussion, updates, and collaboration, helping you stay informed and build relationships over time.
Training and Knowledge
Community sessions develop your skills and knowledge, whether focused on mental health topics or the MHFAider® role in the workplace. The content is guided by the community’s input to ensure it’s relevant and useful.
Resources
Sharing resources like articles, templates, and tools ensures everyone has access to the latest support services and information. It’s a great way to discover strategies or tools you might not have encountered before.
Peer Support
One of the most valuable aspects of the community is support from others. By sharing experiences and perspectives, you can gain encouragement, insights, and advice, creating a safe space to tackle challenges and celebrate successes together.
Community Roles
Facilitator
Guernsey Mind will provide a safe and supportive space for the entire community, hosting presentations, workshops, and events that they organise independently or in collaboration with the Lead Members.
Lead Members
Lead Members will support the community by understanding their learning and support needs, and will work with the Facilitator to develop presentations, workshops, or events that address those priorities.
Community Members
Members will offer peer support to one another, share best practice and resources, and provide feedback to the Lead Members. Session themes and subjects will be shaped by the community, based on what they would like to learn more about.
